Chamber of Sustainable Commerce

A network of purpose-driven business owners committed to an economy based on care.

Our Mission

Hawai’i’s economy is still shaped by the unsustainable business model left behind by the sugar plantations. We see the impact every day:

  • Deep economic imbalances rooted in the displacement of Kānaka Maoli and the widening racial wealth gap that continues to undermine fairness, access and shared prosperity

  • Wealth & Power Gaps that privilege corproations and large landowners while leaving workers and local businesses struggling to compete

  • Environmental & Cultural harm caused by reckless policies & projects that exploit land, water and sacred places for short-term gain for a few

Unlike other chambers that reward short-sighted practices, we believe business can thrive without harming people, culture, or the environment.

  • Build a sustainable, circular economy rooted in equity and respect

  • Support policies that protect workers, communities, and ecosystems

  • Redefine commercial success — when we uplift one, we uplift all
